Last updated 2026-06-17. These Terms govern your use of mAImpire Pickleball (the “Service”), operated by Anaspec Consulting (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account, you confirm you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account and to organise or pay for events. A parent or legal guardian must accept these Terms on behalf of a minor and is responsible for that minor’s use of and participation through the Service.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your password secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
mAImpire Pickleball is a technology platform. We provide tools to discover venues, form groups, schedule sessions, run tournaments and leagues, track results and rankings, and (where enabled) collect entry or membership payments on an organiser’s behalf. We are not a party to any agreement between players, organisers and venues, and we are not the organiser of any event. Listings, schedules, ratings, venue details and availability are provided “as is” and may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
If you create a group, league, tournament or event (an “Organiser”), you alone are responsible for: running the event safely and lawfully; obtaining any permits, venue permissions, insurance and licences; the accuracy of your listing, pricing and schedule; refunds, cancellations and disputes with your participants; complying with all applicable laws (including consumer, tax and data protection laws); and the conduct of your event. You appoint us solely as your limited payment collection agent for amounts you choose to charge, and you agree the platform fee in Section 5 will be deducted before payout. You represent that you are authorised to use any venue you list.
Where an Organiser charges an entry, join or membership fee, payments are processed by our third-party payment provider (currently Stripe). Anaspec Consulting charges a platform fee of 15% of the amount charged, which is deducted automatically; the remaining 85% is paid out to the Organiser (less payment-processor fees and any taxes). Fees are disclosed before you pay. All fees and the platform commission are non-refundable to Anaspec Consulting once a transaction completes. Refunds to a participant, where due, are the Organiser’s responsibility and are governed by the Organiser’s own cancellation policy and applicable law. We may withhold, reverse or refund amounts to comply with law, our payment provider’s rules, or to address fraud or chargebacks.
To receive payouts, an Organiser must complete onboarding with our payment provider and supply valid banking and identity details directly to that provider. Anaspec Consulting does not store your full bank account or card details. You are solely responsible for determining, collecting and remitting any taxes (e.g. VAT, sales tax, income tax) arising from amounts you charge, and for any regulatory obligations applicable to you as a seller of services.
Some features and events require a paid subscription. To enter and participate in paid tournaments on mAImpire Pickleball, you must hold a current, active account and have paid the applicable subscription or entry fee. A subscription is a recurring plan: unless we state otherwise at checkout, it renews automatically at the end of each billing period (for example, monthly) and the then-current fee is charged to your saved payment method through our payment provider (currently Stripe) until you cancel.
You may cancel at any time before your next renewal date, from your account settings or by contacting us; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Except where required by law, fees already charged for a started period are non-refundable, and the platform fee in Section 5 remains non-refundable once a transaction completes. If a renewal payment fails, or you cancel or let your subscription lapse, you may lose access to subscriber features and may forfeit eligibility to participate in tournaments you have entered, including any tournament already in progress (see Section 5c). We will tell you the price, billing frequency and renewal date before you subscribe, and we will not increase your recurring price without notice.
From time to time we may offer a referral benefit: if you refer a friend who signs up for a paid plan using your referral, we may waive your monthly subscription fee for a limited period (the "waiver period"), as described at the time of the offer. Referral benefits are a discretionary promotion: they have no cash value, cannot be exchanged, may be limited in number or duration, and may be changed or withdrawn for future periods. To qualify, the referred person must be a genuine new user who completes signup and any qualifying paid action; self-referrals, duplicate, fake or fraudulent referrals are not eligible and may result in removal of the benefit and suspension under Section 7.
The waiver is temporary. When the waiver period ends, your subscription returns to its normal recurring fee and will renew automatically as described in Section 5b unless you cancel. We will remind you before the waiver period ends that, to remain eligible to participate in tournaments you are entered in, you must keep an active paid subscription (or pay the applicable entry fee). If you do not pay once the waiver ends, your subscription may lapse and you may lose your place in, and eligibility for, any tournament you have entered, including events already under way. It is your responsibility to keep a valid payment method on file and to maintain an active paid status to retain tournament eligibility.
You agree not to: break the law or facilitate illegal activity; harass, endanger or discriminate against others; post false, infringing, harmful or misleading content; scrape, overload, probe or attempt to compromise the Service; misuse payments or commit fraud; or use the Service to send unsolicited bulk messages. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participating in, organising or attending any activity arranged, discovered or paid for through the Service, including risks of bodily injury, illness, death, and loss of or damage to property — whether caused by the conduct of other participants, organisers, venues, equipment, court or facility conditions, weather, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release, waive and discharge Anaspec Consulting, its owners, employees, contractors and agents from any and all claims, demands, damages, costs and liabilities arising out of or relating to such participation, including claims based on negligence, except where such waiver is prohibited by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by our own gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or fraud).
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any rating, schedule, listing or result is accurate. Player ratings (including any DUPR value) are estimates and are not guaranteed.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anaspec Consulting and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or for personal injury or property damage arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the total platform fees you paid to us in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Anaspec Consulting and its owners, employees and agents from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: your use of the Service; any event you organise or attend; your content; your breach of these Terms; or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
The Service may integrate with third-party services such as DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating), payment providers and mapping providers. DUPR is a third party and is independent of Anaspec Consulting. mAImpire Pickleball is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by DUPR LLC. DUPR® is a registered trademark of DUPR LLC, used here only to identify the integration.
Where you choose to link a DUPR account, you authorise us to retrieve your DUPR rating and, where you submit results, to send your match and tournament data to DUPR on your behalf. Your use of DUPR is also governed by DUPR's own terms of service and privacy policy, which apply directly between you and DUPR; you are responsible for reviewing and complying with them. DUPR ratings are estimates produced and controlled by DUPR, not by us; they may change, lag, or be unavailable, and we do not guarantee their accuracy, availability or timeliness. When a DUPR rating is not available, mAImpire Pickleball may display an internal rating, clearly labelled as such, solely so you remain ranked — our internal rating is not, and is not intended to be, a DUPR rating or a substitute rating standard. We are not responsible for DUPR or any other third-party service and do not control its availability, content, decisions or accuracy.
You retain ownership of content you submit, and you grant Anaspec Consulting a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and use it to operate and promote the Service. All software, design and branding of the Service remain our property or that of our licensors.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 15) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you submit to the courts of that jurisdiction — except where mandatory local consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence. Where you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or the UK, nothing in these Terms removes statutory rights you have under local law. Where you are in the United States, you and Anaspec Consulting agree that disputes will, to the extent permitted by law, be resolved on an individual basis and you waive any right to a class action; some US states do not permit such waivers, in which case they do not apply to you.
We may update these Terms. When we make material changes we will update the version above and may ask you to accept the new version. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
